Green Power purchasing is the inclusion of renewable energy sources in your overall procurement. These sources may include wind, solar, hydro and clean coal technologies. Customers may acquire smaller volumes of green, such as 10% of the overall purchases, or one can make the total purchase "green".

Taylor has been able to negotiate below market rates for the green adder, including 20% renewable energy credits in the most recent Boston based aggregation. Boston Buying Power was recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency as one of the top aggregations utilizing renewable energy sources. As local aggregations expand, Taylor looks to include more green energy in our overall procurement strategies.

Contact a Rochester Buying Power rep for more information about the benefits of these programs.
